Project & Administration Coordinator
Project: Amplifying the Voice - Empowering NSW Independent Live Performance Venues
Contract: 12-month Part-Time or Full-Time contract for an independent contractor with a valid ABN
Location: NSW (Hybrid/Remote options available). Intrastate travel required.
Hours: Part-Time or Full-Time position available. Flexible working arrangements, with some evening/weekend work for industry events and travel.
About Us: The Live Music Venues Alliance (LMVA) is the peak body representing independent live music venues across New South Wales. We unite venues across the state to support a thriving live music ecosystem, ensuring the sustainability of both venues and artists.
Role Overview: We are seeking a professionally qualified and experienced individual with proven project and administration skills and ideally a new and emerging professional with a background in the live music industry. The Project & Administration Coordinator working with the LVMA board will support the planning, execution, and administration of various LMVA projects, ensuring effective communication between stakeholders.
This is a contractor position. The successful candidate will be engaged as an independent contractor, must hold a valid ABN, and will be responsible for managing their own tax and superannuation obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage project activities and deliverables.
Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
Provide administrative support to the LMVA Board and LMVA operations, including preparing reports and presentations, and maintaining accurate project and administrative records.
Organise and coordinate events, workshops, and meetings.
Skills & Experience:
Experience in project coordination, event management, or administration.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
Knowledge of the live music industry and its challenges is a plus.
Knowledge in the not-for-profit sector and best governance practices
Comfortable using CRM systems, email marketing tools, and basic office software.
Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Familiarity with policy issues affecting the live music sector.
Ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities and stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
Must be engaged as an independent contractor and hold a valid ABN.
Must hold a current and valid full Australian driver’s licence.
Willingness to travel across NSW for meetings and events.
Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
